Local area The nearest village of St Jory de Chalais is a short distance away (approx. 1.5 miles) and offers a small shop/boulangerie, a charcuterie and an auberge which offers traditional French cuisine at reasonable prices. This is a pretty little village with some well-signposted walks and a museum to the WW2 resistance. You will find the day-to-day amenities including shops, post office, patisseries, restaurants and bars in La Coquille, about 5 miles away. Larger supermarkets and more can be found in Thiviers - some 8 miles south of us on the N21 |
